Adaptive Synchronization of Robotic Sensor Networks

Abstract

Time synchronization is one of the fundamental build- ing blocks for coordinated and power-efficient operation of the networked robots. Ironically, time synchroniza- tion itself is also an energy consuming process which de- mands communication and information processing among the robots. This has led most research in time synchro- nization literature to focus on developing the less power consuming synchronization method while meeting predefined accuracy requirements.
